Vita Liberata is cruelty free but not 100% vegan

Vita Liberata pledges that the brand does not conduct, contract out or fund animal testing in the developing, manufacturing or marketing of their products. Whilst Vita Liberata recognises the importance of customer safety, the brand believes this can be sufficiently achieved without animal cruelty. Vita Liberata is cruelty free and stands against animal testing. Furthermore, Vita Liberata does not export its products to mainland China and/or other countries, where animal testing is required by law.

Parent company

Crown Laboratories, Inc completed the acquisition of Vita Liberata in 2018. Despite the acquisition, Vita Liberata remains cruelty free.

Currently Vita Liberata is not certified by any major animal rights organisation.

Not all Vita Liberata products are suitable for vegans. However, all Vita Liberata products are suitable for vegetarians. Please always check the ingredient list of the product before making a purchase.

Vegan statement

Q: Are the products vegan? (i.e. product ingredients that come from animals like lanolin, honey, milk, etc)

A: We have one product that did use beeswax in its formulation. However, we are in the process of reformulating that product. Every other product that we offer is vegan, and when we have successfully reformulated our one outstanding product we will be an entirely vegan brand.
