EltaMD is NOT cruelty free or vegan
EltaMD falsely pledges that the brand does not conduct, contract out or fund animal testing in the developing, manufacturing or marketing of their products. EltaMD does export its products to mainland China and other countries, where animal testing is required by law. Therefore EltaMD is not cruelty free and doesn’t stand against animal testing.
Cruelty free statement
EltaMD does not test any of its products or any of its ingredients on animals, anywhere in the world nor does EltaMD delegate this task to others. The only possible exception is if regulatory authorities required it for safety or regulatory purposes.

Parent company
Colgate-Palmolive Inc. completed the acquisition of EltaMD in 2017. Since the acquisition, EltaMD is no longer cruelty free.
