Cruelty Free UK is the biggest cruelty free resource in the UK and one of the biggest resources globally. We work tirelessly to continually add and refine the information we provide on this platform.
Animal testing is a very complex subject, and despite years of fighting against it, animal testing is still happening everywhere in the world, including the most developed economies. Therefore, only by submitting legally binding documentation signed by the brand and its suppliers to the internationally recognised animal rights organisations, such as PETA, Leaping Bunny, NATRUE and Choose Cruelty Free, and getting approved, can the brand prove and rightfully claim that it is cruelty-free.
At present, only the established animal rights organisations have the resources and capacity to verify cruelty free status. We believe that an ability to determine whether the brand is cruelty free or not should only be given to trusted non-profit animal protection organisations.
We research niche, local brands alongside industry’s giants available worldwide. What matters to us is brand’s values, transparency and ethical approach to every aspect of the business.
Every single brand below was thoroughly checked by us and we constantly update to make sure that none of the brands on our cruelty free list changed their policy on animal testing.
